The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce Launches Inaugural Black Tie Gala

On January 28, 2017, The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce launched its inaugural Black Tie Gala, presented by Herb Chambers of Burlington, to benefit the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce's Charitable Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization). This year marked the kickoff of the BACC's Charitable Partnership Program, with the goal of bringing the business community together to collaborate with non-profit BACC members to help these organizations raise awareness and funds to better Burlington and the surrounding communities.

And, we are thrilled to report that the event raised more than $22,000 for the participating non-profit members! Charter recipients included: Burlington Education Foundation, Burlington Youth & Family Services, HELPIS Inc., Nashoba Learning Center, Neurofibromatosis Northeast, Relay for Life Burlington (American Cancer Society), and UDT-SEAL Association. The evening began with a cocktail reception where guests were entertained, mingled, enjoyed appetizers, and perused silent auction items. Following the reception, we were treated to a three-course gourmet dinner in the Grande Ballroom, a number of inspiring speeches, and a video presentation about the charities. Guests capped off the evening with dancing to the captivating sounds of Nuimage Entertainment.

It was a wonderful night and we were thrilled to be in such good company. Thank you to everyone at the BACC who made this inaugural event a success! Plans are already underway for the event next year on January 20, 2018 at the Boston Marriott Burlington.
