On Thursday, Dec. 17, the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) held a holiday event and invited members to bring in items for HELPIS' "boxes of hope" for homeless individuals. Each box contains shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb and brush, along with several other toiletries; scarves, hats, gloves, thermal socks, and small dollar gift cards. HELPIS Help Me Help Someone, Inc. (HMHS) is a social network for kind and charitable deeds. It connects people in need with people who want to help. Right now in the world there are so many people in need, but there are also so many people who would love to help, but who don’t know how to make their contributions meaningful. Giving money is not something that everyone feels comfortable doing, especially when one can’t always be sure that funds are delivered where they are most needed.
